Evangelism
Disciple making movements
Divine Care Ministries believes deeply in the Great Commission, as Jesus commands in Matthew 28:19–20: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Our heart is to make disciples who make disciples. We pursue this mission through Discovery Bible Studies, evangelism outreaches, leadership trainings, and ongoing discipleship. Today, God is at work through 400 trained leaders and 300 active groups spread across Uganda, multiplying faith and transforming communities. We have seen 10,000 people come to faith.
where we serve
Our head office is located in Kampala, but Divine Care Ministries serves communities in 8 districts across Uganda, with a strong focus on the Karamoja region. Located in northeastern Uganda, Karamoja is a remote, semi-arid area bordering South Sudan and covering nearly one-sixth of the country’s land area. It is home to approximately 1.2 million Karamojong people, many of whom have never heard the Gospel.
our current impact
In 2025, God did remarkable work through Divine Care Ministries. Over 256 leaders were trained and encouraged to raise and develop new leaders, while 202 new Discovery Bible Study (DBS) groups were established across Uganda. More than 366 new disciples were baptized, including individuals from Muslim families, demonstrating the Gospel’s reach across diverse communities. We also saw God opening doors in new, unreached areas such as Kotido, Zombo, and Madi, and we give thanks for the fruit of His Kingdom and the work He is beginning in these regions.
audio bibles
Many tribes in Uganda are illiterate and have little to no access to the gospel. Divine Care Ministries is committed to changing that. We have recorded 66 passages of the Bible in 16 local languages, enabling us to reach unengaged tribes in Karamoja and other regions of Uganda.
As part of a disciple-making movement facilitated through Discovery Bible Studies, these audio Bibles allow people who have never heard the Good News to listen, understand, and respond to Scripture. A single audio Bible can provide gospel access to five or more people.
To date, we have distributed over 560 audio Bibles, giving more than 6,000 people access to God’s Word.
Salvations
In 2025, Divine Care Ministries had the incredible privilege of sharing the Gospel with 9,976 people across Uganda. By God’s grace, 5,215 of these individuals chose to follow Jesus, committing their lives to Him and beginning their journey as new disciples. Among them were people from a variety of backgrounds, including individuals from unreached communities and Muslim families, highlighting the transformative power of the Gospel in every corner of the country. We rejoice in these life-changing decisions and give all glory to God for the fruit of His Kingdom.
karamoja
When our ministry first entered the Karamoja region in 2010, we encountered extreme poverty, persistent violence, and deep hopelessness. Yet amid these hardships, our team found people who longed for change and were eager to hear the Gospel.
Many Karamajong responded readily to the message of Christ, but the lack of an established church presence and widespread illiteracy created significant barriers to discipleship. In response, Divine Care committed to ongoing engagement and creative approaches to sharing and teaching God’s Word.
Each year, hundreds of volunteers from Kampala travel to Karamoja for evangelism outreaches. Together, we share the Gospel with thousands, witness many salvations, and continue expanding into new and unreached areas year after year.
Divine Care Ministries is a 501(c)(3) ministry founded upon the Biblical principle that true religion is caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. We currently support over 2,400 children across our 8 centers.
