2020 Impact Report

Dear Divine Care Sponsors,

Thank YOU for your faithful generosity, support, prayers, and encouragement over this last year! It’s hard to believe it’s a NEW YEAR already...As we joyfully and expectantly enter 2021, we can’t help but give thanks for all of the incredible people (that’s YOU!) the Lord has placed in our giving family. As a result of your generosity, we were able to create the Employee Emergency Loan Fund, an evergreen microloan program that we mentioned in our December newsletter! This fund will benefit our Ugandan staff greatly in times of need and we could not be more grateful for your partnership.

Your 2020 Giving Impact at a Glance:

  • $5,000 dollars donated for the Employee Emergency Loan Fund

  • One used vehicle for Divine Grace staff

  • Continued to pay (reduced amount) our 90 DCM staff despite the complete Uganda lockdown which allowed us to retain these vital workers who daily impact the lives of the children in our programs.

  • $5,000 of our $9,000 dollar goal donated for needed repairs to the dental and medical clinic at Divine Farm

  • 1,645 vulnerable children holistically cared for in 2020. Not only does a $50/month sponsorship provide a quality education for a child in need, but it also covers tuition, school fees, housing (if necessary), food, consistent godly mentors, social worker support, health/dental care, pastoral support, and so much more. Your support is invaluable to us.

  • Over 500 families engaged and supported by DCM staff during the country’s lockdown due to the pandemic. When school is in its normal cadence, the teachers don’t have the opportunity to meet the parents and/or see the children in their environment. Covid offered them the opportunity to get out into the villages and work with the children in their homes and build more personal relationships with the families. The outreach also allowed DCM to reach families who were not associated with DCM. This is God using tough times to advance the Kingdom in ways we could not imagine.

Prayer Points:

  • Wisdom for our leaders as decisions are made influencing the lives of many children

  • Enough resources to carry out the programs as God intends

  • Peter, Phoebe, and all of our staff and students in Uganda along with their families

  • Salvations, discipleship, boldness of faith, and a deeper understanding of the Word

  • Wisdom and strategy for our DCM Karamoja team

  • An increase in child sponsorships so we can support even more of the country’s most vulnerable children

Finally, please mark your calendars for a Sponsor Zoom meeting with Peter & Phoebe Sozi in March. Due to the time difference between America and Uganda, this meeting will also be recorded in case you can’t make it. More information regarding this meeting can be found on our website under the “Events” tab. You’ll need to register to attend. We’re excited to have the Sozis share with us! Wishing you an abundant 2021!

Together, we make a difference!
